The Finnish Forest Museum Lusto
The Finnish Forest Museum Lusto tells the story of the shared history of man and the forest. The national museum responsible for forest culture is located in Punkaharju, in the midst of the most beautiful landscape of ridges and lakes in Eastern Finland.
Lusto’s various exhibitions offer surprising insights and different perspectives of forests for all ages. Permanent exhibitions present the versatile interaction between human and forest in Finland from ancient to modern times. Special exhibitions show off new points of view to different aspects of forest culture. Lusto arranges also a series of events all year round.
The relationship between Finnish people and the forest is unique – the forest lives within us. Lusto plays a role in building the narrative of our forests to be.

The Oulu Art Museum
The Oulu Art Museum offers possibilities for experiences and learning. The exhibition program focuses on regional and contemporary art, alongside collection and international exhibitions.
Parallel to the exhibition, the art museum offers vibrant public program. The Oulu Museum of Art, founded in 1963, is located in the old Åström factory building, which once served as the tannery’s headquarters and canteen. The museum is located next the green park area of Ainola.
The Oulu Art Museum’s collection is built around contemporary art. Thematic entities in the collection are artists’ self-portraits, naivist art and Northern dimension. In addition to its own collection the Oulu Art Museum manages the City of Oulu collection and 8 others. As the organisation in charge of regional art museum work, Oulu Museum of Art provide services and assistance to cities, municipalities, museums, communities and private citizens in Northern Ostrobothnia and Kainuu in matters of visual art and visual cultural heritage.
